BENJAMIN DEMARCO PHOTOGRAPHY

Ben states, "I am not one who photographs one type of subject matter, due to my roots being a freelance photographer.  The varied subject matter I do shoot I review and contemplate how can I make it my own personal statement.   I do that by manipulation, composites, texturizing, and distortion.  A photography of a beautiful sunset, flower, or animal is great but I didn't create it, I captured it at that moment and time.   Through my process I make it my own.  It is my statement my creation."

Ben attended The New School for Social Research N.Y.   Founded the Brick Photo Workshop in 1980.  Freelance photojournalist for The Star Ledger of Newark and the Asbury Park Press. Member of the Guild of Creative Arts, The Belmar Arts Council and The Ocean County Artist Guild. Also a member of Torche' Galleries in Belmar N.J. Member of the Monmouth Museum N.J. My work has been shown at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France and on the large digital bill board in Times Square New York City.
