DENISE DMOCHOWSKI

Throughout Denise's career, she's been drawn to patterns and color with a particular interest in the layering effects of collage. "Whether I use paper or fabric, the end result is a piece created from overlapping prints. These collaged canvases then become the foundation for my paintings. Recently I have begun transferring these collage techniques onto chairs. Fabric is sewn together to create large pieces of material that can be used to reupholster chairs." Many of the fabrics used are digital prints made from images of my paintings and photographs.

Her paintings and drawings are about the transformative healing energy that is abundant in the universe. Early in 2007, she embarked on a spiritual journey, which lead to her discovering the healing arts. "I found this journey to be extremely exhilarating.  As I continued on this path something wonderful happened. I watched my work change before my eyes, it appeared that the same energies I used in healing sessions began to take shape in my paintings. Now a mystical, spiritual, otherworldly element is clearly present in my work."

Denise graduated from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, New Brunswick, NJ. My work has been exhibited in cities across the country from New York to San Francisco. In addition to being an artist, I am certified in five different healing modalities: Reiki Master/Teacher, Karuna Master/Teacher, Seichem Sekham Master/Teacher, Advanced Pranic Healer, and Reconnective Healer
