Linda is a local potter working from my studio in Ocean, NJ and from the Art School at Old Church in Demarest, NJ. Linda fell in love with creating pottery with my first class at the University of Puerto Rico. From there she was able to apprentice with a potter in Long Island, which led her to setting up her studio in NJ. All her life she's been involved with the arts.
Her style has evolved throughout the years, and currently gravitates towards simple and functional ceramics. She mainly works with wheel-thrown stoneware fired in a gas kiln at high temperature, all with food safe glazes, being microwave and dishwasher safe. The variations of tonalities and shades make each piece unique and beautiful. Basically, each piece is one of a kind with its own personality. There is a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment when drinking and eating out of handmade ware.
