It was America’s Disneyland before Mr Disney was born. The hot dog capital of the world. Home to ‘the Eiffel Tower of Brooklyn’, and America’s first roller coaster on its most famous boardwalk.

That water had a quite distinctive aroma but is at least clean enough to host the Polar Bears in January and humpback whales all summer.

Woody Guthrie and Woody Allen both lived there. It’s city and it’s gritty. Pro ball and Skee-Ball. It’s the end of the line and It’s been replicated but never duplicated. It’s Coney Island.
